Gurjar Reservation Movement: The media played a biased role during the Gurjar reservation movement. Over 70 members of the Gurjar community sacrificed their lives (due to Goli Chala Katariya) fighting for their constitutional right to the reservation, yet they did not get it and the justice they deserved. In contrast, there was no outcry or protest regarding the unconstitutional reservation for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). While members of OBC communities have had to sacrifice their lives to attain social justice in the form of reservation, the so-called "golden castes" receive reservations at OBC's expense. Not only the Gurjar community but every other OBC does not get reservations due to the dominance of people who are anti-OBC reservations in the decision-making system.
