Secularism is an idea, a value, and a principle, not an ideology. It is not for people/citizens but for the state, for the government, and for the constitution. It is not only used for religious contexts, but it must also be used for caste, sect, and environmental contexts. Secularism does not define the people's religion, but it defines the state's religion.
Secularism in the constitution indicates the nature of the relationship between the state and citizens from a religious perspective. The nature of this relationship depends on the status of the DPSP. There is not only religious diversity but also the diversity of social faith, spiritual belief, and natural philosophy.
